I recently attended a very interesting networking event that included a presentation on the economic outlook.
The speaker was a top economist from one of the big four, and suggested that the most likely future is:
- No increase in Bank of England Base Rate for 18m
- No double dip
- Steady, but slow economic growth
- UNCERTAINTY
He also recommended 2 books and I’ve added these to the reading list:
- The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable
- Nassim Nicholas Taleb
- This Time Is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly
– Reinhart and Rogoff
